Gigaclear, the ultrafast, pure fibre broadband networks provider, has delivered the first of its ultrafast broadband cabinets to the villages of King's Cliffe and Apethorpe in Northamptonshire. ...

Heather Smith, Deputy Leader, Northamptonshire County Council said:
“I am delighted to see the work that Gigaclear is undertaking to bring ultrafast broadband to King’s Cliffe and Apethorpe. This is great news as current broadband speeds are very poor. Attracting commercial investment by telecoms providers is critical if the county council’s ambitious target to see full coverage by the end of 2017 is to be met. Gigaclear will provide these villages with vital ultrafast connectivity which will bring significant benefits to small local businesses, residents looking to work from home and also other social uses such as iPlayer and SmartTVs.”

Joe Frost, Sales and Marketing Director, Gigaclear commented:
“Kings Cliffe and Apethorpe will soon join other rural communities in benefitting from the UK’s fastest broadband. This is the start of a large deployment for Gigaclear in Northamptonshire and Peterborough. We are very grateful to the King’s Cliffe and Apethorpe High Speed Internet Group for their fantastic support with this project enabling us to commence installation in a relatively short space of time. We’d also like to record our thanks to Northamptonshire County Council for their ongoing support with these projects.”
